The flats accessible via Spyglass are perfect for sunning, wading, and some light swimming. Dont miss the cave up in the escarpment or Taco Deli at the trail head.
St Edward's Park

Hidden waterfall in Spicewood Springs. MUST GO after a heavy rain. Park at the parking lot then treck left until you run into it. Bring your swimsuits to hop in at the bottom too!
Barton Creek Greenbelt

Barton Creek Greenbelt is always a fun hike! Especially after it rains.
Great Hills Park Trail
10801 Sierra
Great Hills Trail is one for those in the mood for a lovely, easy-ish hike in north Austin.
Secret Beach
None
Being at secret beach feels like an adventure - it seems so far from the city. Take a quick walk on the northbound trail from the parking lots at 400 grove blvd. to discover the beach for yourself!
Shoal Creek Trail
None
Located next to West Campus, this spot is a popular college student jogging trail. An off leash dog section of the park runs from 24th to 29th street with beautiful trees providing shade along the way
Pfluger Ped Bridge
S Lamar Blvd
Need a reminder of how awesome your life is because you live in Austin? Come here. The view of the skyline/river/train tracks/witty graffiti makes this my favorite part of the town lake trail.
West Austin Park
1317 W 10th St
Quaint neighborhood off leash dog park in the Clarksville area. Hose and bowls for water located inside the park. Love it!
Zilker Botanical Gardens
2220 Barton Springs Rd
The best garden park in Austin! Walk amongst fine roses, view local art, and find inner piece in the Oriental Garden with it's serine waterfalls! Make sure to bring a camera!
Twin Falls On Greenbelt

Awesome swimming hole when the water is high, meaning right after a good rain. Lots of varied trails alongside the water. Great for doggies and beginner hikers!
Barton Creek Greenbelt
2201 Barton Springs Rd
Swimming season usually starts in March for Austin & that's the perfect time to hike/bike/swim. The Greenbelt is perfect for all of that! Make sure you pack plenty of water and find hidden spots!
Butler Park
1000 Barton Springs Rd
Beautiful any time of day or night. I love running through this fountain like a kid and then sitting in the grass and admiring the city skyline. It's also great to walk up the hill and meditate.
Secret Beach
None
Secret beach is a pretty cool chill spot, it's covered in sand and also opens to the Colorado River. Great place to go hang out with friends, just take a towel and you'll be all set!
Laura's Library
9411 Fm 2244 Rd
If you have kids, Laura's Library is a great place to go this summer. Tons of FREE programs for kids, including coding and Spanish camps. Plus beautiful views!
Franklin Barbecue
900 E 11th St
Countless reviews have proved this to be the #1 place to get Texas BBQ. This is the only place in Austin that runs out of food daily. Arrive early to try for yourself! :D
Sculpture Falls
None
One of the best parts of the greenbelt, skip Twin Falls if it's busy and hike out to Sculpture. You'll have to cross the creek to get to the side with deep water but it's worth it. Bring a towel!
Mueller Lake Park
4550 Mueller Blvd
Mueller Lake Park is a beautiful place for a walk or a jog. Trails around the lake and plenty of grassy space make this a great park to bring your pup for a walk.
Lady Bird Lake
Central Austin, Texas
My favorite outdoor activities include kayaking, fishing, canoeing, tubing, and running all in Lady Bird Lake.
Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park on Slaughter Creek
6301 W Slaughter Ln
Need some time to reflect? (Lol??) Circle C is the place! So many trails and never super crowded. You can always find a secluded place to just chill and check emails while taking in the fresh air!
