Till The Cows Come Home
Schönhauser Allee 9
Vegan and Veg meals & perfect coffee all knocked out of a industrial kitchen in a shipping container! This place serves meals that would be praised in the best of restaurants! Perfect for any diet!
29 Berlin Tpke
Burgers w/ an Asian twist? YES PLEASE! And who could resist hand-cut sweet potato fries? The patties are made fresh in-house, the staff are very friendly & to top it off, it's SUPER CHEAP! Love it!
Exquisite breakfasts, creamy flat whites, amazing location, good WiFi, sunny terrace, classy cocktails and cool weekly events. It may not have a German name, but it sure has everything else.
Yes, there is often a big queue - for a reason. One of the most reliable joints for Berlin's favourite food, pumping out fresh, juicy Currywurst and crunchy fries at all hours. Perfect midnight snack!
Oderberger Straße 21
Whether you want a sneaky Sunday vino, a slice of cheesecake or a quick bite - this place is fantastic! The staff are super friendly and the food is sehr lecker! Great atmosphere for weekly catchups!
Mustafa's Gemuese Kebab
Wow. There's not much else to say. Yes, there's often a long line for what looks like a roadside shack. Forget about that, and remember this: it's the best kebab in Berlin. No joke. And no mean feat!
There's a reason they call it the most important meal of the day y'know. Get yourself down to Markthalle Neun on the third Sunday of every month for an eclectic mix of Berlin's best street food.
44 Schoenhauser Allee
No-fuss Konnopke's has long been the standard for Berlin's street food classics. Famously delicious currywurst, sure. But bulbous Buletten and juicy Bratwurst mit Brot are also local stalwarts.
Liegnitzer Straße 28
Mother. Of. God. Never have I seen so many smiles at a pizzeria. The only size on offer has similar dimensions to a hubcap, which suits me down to the ground. Also, fantastic value for money! ???
Now there must be a million and one cosy coffee shops scattered through the streets of Berlin, but here it really does feel like you're in someone's living room. Named after the puppy that lives here!
Sorry Mama Partybrunch @ The Grand
A brunch like no other, this is something all should do. A lovely champagne-filled, civilised brunch...which turns into a massive dance party!! The best part is - you still have the whole night ahead!
My favorite brunch spot in Berlin! Quite small and not too pretentious, but very warm atmosphere and great prices for all that salmon, cheese, meet all you can eat. Amazing caffe latte
Görlitzer Straße 68
Smack bang next to Görlitzer park is this slice of cosy peacefulness. The best freshly squeezed OJ, extensive brekkie menu and rustic candlelit tables, perfect for working or watching the day go by!
The Barn café is love at first sight! Delicious cookies and delightful hot drinks are waiting for you at this cozy place! And you'll find there the traditional portuguese pie "Pastel de Nata"!
If you've got a few euros to spare & wanna treat your tastebuds to a gourmet Italian feast, then this little hot spot is a must! The staff are amazing & the ambience of the place is perfectly cozy.
Bonanza Coffee Roasters
Oderberger Strasse 35
The best espresso within 200m of the former wall. No argument. Beans roasted on site and coffees made with great care and skill. Small, social space with spartan seating, don't walk past it!
And just when I thought I couldn't find proper Thai in Berlin, I discovered this golden nugget!! The food is absolutely amazing and SUPER cheap. I recommend booking ahead though as locals love it too!
Pizza a Pezzi
Call me a philistine but I had no idea that a) pears and chicken could be a topping and b) that they taste bloody delicious! Perfect spot for a relaxed date or a pizza party with your pals. Lecker.
Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap
Widely tipped as Berlin's best kebab, Mustafa's popularity is reflected in the queue that winds down Mehringdamm but don't let that put you off, grab a beer, get in line and prepare to be amazed.
Kaffee Florian Berlin
You won't find this very cool restaurant in the guides - you'll find actors writers and pretty bright women. There is pork schmaltz on the table to dip bread into, amazing great eclectic food.
